Jason Hanold

is the CEO and co-managing partner of Hanold Associates, a retained executive search firm that specializes in HR and Diversity & Inclusion leaders, as well as diverse boards of directors. Based in Chicago, Jason Hanold and his team provide HR and diversity recruitment services to a large network of clients that includes American Airlines, the New York Times Company, Google, the National Football League, Zoom, Moderna, and several other well-known brands. He and his staff focus on conducting rigorous, timely searches to place high-caliber, culturally aligned candidates with each client. The company has a strong commitment to diversity, and more than 80% of its successful executive and board searches are ethnically diverse or women.

Previously, Mr. Hanold served as managing director and partner of the executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates for five years. He oversaw the company’s Global Human Resources Officers Practice and maintained a seat on the board of directors. Before joining Russell Reynolds, Mr. Hanold spent three years as the global head of talent acquisition at Whirlpool Corporation, where he led executive recruiting efforts for both the company and its affiliated brands.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hanold was global head of recruiting at McKinsey & Company. He also launched the first in-house executive recruiting office at Deloitte and served as its Americas director in the firm’s New York City headquarters.

Jason Hanold is a lifetime member of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals. He maintains leadership positions with a number of other organizations, including the Leadership Council of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and the United States Olympic Committee. He is also a member of the NAACP and SAG-AFTRA.

Mr. Hanold is currently working toward his doctor of education (Ed.D.) in organizational leadership, learning, and talent at the University of Pennsylvania. He has a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in leadership and organizational culture from Northwestern University.
